Angonoka Tortoise (Astrochelys yniphora)
The Angonoka Tortoise is a critically endangered tortoise that is found only in a very small area of Madagascar and is considered one of the rarest tortoises in the world.

Appearance characteristics
The carapace is dome-shaped, yellow-brown in color with dark radial patterns.
The prosternum is elongated to form a protrusion similar to a "ship's bow" (more obvious in males).
The limbs are strong and suitable for activities in grasslands and bushes.

Habitat
Lives mainly in dry grasslands and bushes, prefers sandy soil.
Diet
Feeds mainly on grass, leaves, and succulent plants.
Also eats fruits and rotten woody plants.
Reproduction
Oviparous, lays 1-6 eggs each time, 1-2 times a year.
The incubation period is about 200-250 days, and the temperature and humidity have a great influence on the hatching success rate.
